Hero Fight Night 5: Kushal vs. Raj headlines, Sultan vs. Rao to be co-main event

Hero MMA and Fitness Academy has revealed the main event and co-main event for Hero Fight Night 5. The event will be headlined by the Bantamweight showdown between Kushal Vyas and Raj Viperidae and will be co-headlined by the rematch between Sultan Kokni and Edukondal Rao.

Kushal, who is one of the most experienced names in Indian MMA, is coming off an impressive submission win in his last fight and will be looking to continue the momentum when he steps into the cage to fight Raj. Raj is also coming off a submission win as he had defeated Sumit Jadhav via a first-round submission at Hero Fight Night 4 which happened back in February.

Sultan Kokni and Edukondal Rao had locked horns back at Hero Fight Night 4. Rao went home with a second-round submission in the match and opened the doors for a rematch. Sultan, who will be fighting in front of his hometown fans will be eager to level terms and set up a potential trilogy fight when Edukondal has the chance to bury the rivalry with another win.

More fights are expected to be announced for the event in the coming days. Hero Fight Night 5 will happen on Saturday, 10 April 2021 at Nashik.
