Hero Fight Night 5: Chungren Koren vs. Dipesh Rasal set to happen at the event

A showdown between Chungren Koren and Dipesh Rasal has been confirmed for Hero Fight Night 5. The announcement was made by the promotion on their social media pages last day.

Chungren Koren has been on an impressive run having secured multiple wins across the domestic circuit. Dipesh also has been an active name in the Indian MMA circuit and considering the resume that these two have, the Bantamweight showdown is bound to be exciting.

As reported earlier, the event will be headlined by the fight between Kushal Vyas and Raj Viperidae when the rematch between Edukondal Rao and Sultan Kokni will serve as the co-main event.

Kushal, who is one of the most experienced names in Indian MMA, is coming off an impressive submission win in his last fight and will be looking to continue the momentum when he steps into the cage to fight Raj. Raj is also coming off a submission win as he had defeated Sumit Jadhav via a first-round submission at Hero Fight Night 4 which happened back in February.

Sultan Kokni and Edukondal Rao had locked horns back at Hero Fight Night 4. Rao went home with a second-round submission in the match and opened the doors for a rematch. Sultan, who will be fighting in front of his hometown fans will be eager to level terms and set up a potential trilogy fight when Edukondal has the chance to bury the rivalry with another win.

Elsewhere, the promotion has also announced a fight between Aishwarya and Sneha for the event. More fights are expected to be announced soon for the event. Hero Fight Night 5 will happen on Saturday, 10 April 2021 at Nashik.
