Top-ranked Indian boxer Faizan Anwar to fight Viktor Plotnikov in Dubai

Top-ranked Indian boxer Faizan Anwar is all set to make his return to the ring. Faizan will be in action at the fight card promoted by D4G on November 26, 2021 in Dubai.

Currently undefeated in his professional boxing career with a record of 9-0, Faizan will be going up against an experienced name in Viktor Plotnikov. Hailing from Ukraine, Viktor holds a professional record of 33-13-0 to his name and has 15 knockout wins across his boxing career.

Although he is currently on a slow run, Viktor brings in plenty of experience to the table and was undefeated in the first 18 bouts of his professional career.

Faizan, on the other hand, will be looking to make it 10-0 in his resume. His most recent win came against Octavian Gratii back in October 2021 and prior to this, he had got the better of an experienced Ricky Sismundo as well.

The 20-year-old is currently reigning on top of the Welterweight Rankings for India as per BoxRec and is the pound-for-pound top-ranked boxer in India as per the aggregator site ahead of names like Neeraj Goyat and Vijender Singh.

Apart from Faizan, the card will see a string of exciting names including Ohara Davies, Ismael Barroso, Rocky Fielding, Badaou Jack among others. Indian boxer Digari Mahesh is all set to be on the card when he fights Bader Samreen. You can see the complete fight card for the event below.
