Faizan Anwar talks about his recent win, Olympic aspirations, future plans, more

Faizan Anwar is currently the top-ranked pound-for-pound professional boxer in India as per BoxRec. Currently holding a professional record of 8-0 to his name, Faizan recently secured a huge win against an experienced Ricky Sismundo who was also the sparring partner of the legendary Manny Pacquaio.

Sismundo, came in with a wealth of experience and was holding a professional record of 35-15-3 to his name. The Filipino started his career back in 2006 and has fought all over the world including countries like the Philippines, Canada, Japan, the United States, Australia among others making it a great win for the 20-year-old Indian who hails from Kolkata.

Faizan had started his career back in 2019 and has been a force to reckon with in the professional boxing circuit so far. He has four knockout wins to his name and had secured wins over Justice Addy and Evgenii Vazem prior to his win over Ricky Sismundo.

We managed to catch up with Faizan for a quick interview where he talks about his recent win over Ricky Sismundo of The Philippines, His Olympic Dreams, How it feels to be the top-ranked Indian Boxer as per BoxRec, being undefeated in his professional boxing career, how he managed to be a top boxer at the young age of 20, his advice for young boxers and much more.
