Indian boxer Digari Mahesh is all set to fight undefeated Russian boxer Tigran Uzlyan in Russia on 25 June 2021. With a professional record of 4-1-1 to his name, Digari is managed by Grassroot Boxing Promotions and currently ranked second in the Lightweight rankings for India as per BoxRec.

Born in Dehradun, the Indian boxer started his professional journey back in 2016 with a draw against Rajesh Kumar. Three years later, he returned to the ring to secure his first win. After getting the better of Vikramjeet Singh and Manish Harode, he had suffered a defeat to Lalrinsanga Tlau who is currently the reigning WBC World Youth Champion.

He, however, bounced back strongly from this loss and secured two back-to-back wins including his latest one in the Battle on Ship event against Kuldeep Dhanda.

Uzlyan, meanwhile, holds a professional record of 3-0 to his name and has two wins via stoppage as well. He made his professional debut back in August 2020 where he had secured a first-round TKO victory. He then followed it up with a Majority decision win in October 2020 before securing his second TKO win in April 2021.

The event is sanctioned by the Russian Boxing Federation and will be held at the WOW Arena in Krasnaya Polyana in Russia.

Vage Sarukhanyan will be fighting Aik Shakhnazaryan in the headliner for the vacant Russia Lightweight Title when Gadzhi Navruzov will be locking horns with Fabio Maldonado.
