Denice Zamboanga wants to earn title shot by defeating Seo Hee Ham

The much-awaited rematch between Denice Zamboanga and Seo Hee Ham is set to happen at ONE: X in March.

The last time these two fought, Seo Hee Ham had taken home a controversial decision win in the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix which was challenged by Zamboanga after the fight. The review however did not go in favor of Zamboanga as the win of Ham was upheld.

Following this, Ham had to pull out from the ONE Atomweight Grand Prix due to injury, and now, ONE Championship has decided to run it back between Ham and Zamboanga.

"You will see how much I have improved since the last time I fought inside the ONE Circle. I can't put it into words, but you will see the leveled-up version of me, one who is more feisty and will definitely be eyeing for a finish,” Zamboanga said during her recent interview with ONE Championship.

The Filipino fighter went on to add that she hopes to earn a title shot against Angela Lee by securing a win against Seo Hee Ham.

"This fight is really important for me because all of the athletes here dream to become a champion. And I can say that this match will be a stepping stone for me to finally be given a chance to challenge the champion,” she added.

When concluding, Zamboanga expressed her excitement about competing in the ONE: X fight card.

"This is so special for me because I will be part of history. Just look at the title fights on this card and how it's stacked from top to bottom and you can see how great the matches and the fighters are, so I'm really blessed to be part of it,” she concluded.
