Bobby Green says that Islam Makhachev is ‘stealing’ from Khabib Nurmagomedov
25 February 2022Bobby Green and Islam Makhachev are all set to lock horns at UFC Vegas 49. Green will be stepping into the fight on short notice and has the opportunity to not only derail the hype surrounding Makhachev, but also push his case for a potential title fight in the future.
Ahead of the much-anticipated showdown, Green blasted Makhachev during the media day and said that Makhachev is ‘stealing’ from former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“I think that’s kinda dope, you know, I think it’s dope. Yeah, say what you gotta say, brother. Nobody holding you from back from your words. Say what you say. You are kind of stealing from your big, your big brother Khabib. That was his sh*t. So, you are still, you are jocking his swag. If he wants to talk, let’s talk. But it’s gonna be fun, it’s gonna be fun. That’s all I want to do is make sure that it’s fun,” Green said.

Makhachev has been training with Khabib for a long time now and has followed the footsteps of The Eagle. He currently holds a professional MMA record of 21-1 to his name and is on an impressive nine fight winning streak at the moment.
Elsewhere, Bobby Green comes into the fight on the back of his dominant decision win over Nasrat Haqparast. Prior to this, he had defeated Al Iaquinta as well at UFC 268. Green holds a record of 29-12-1 to his name and is 3-2 in his last five fights.
