The much-awaited ONE Championship Bantamweight showdown between Bibiano Fernandes and John Lineker will happen at ONE: Bad Blood on February 11, 2022. The announcement was made by ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong last day.

Bibiano Fernandes has been reigning on top of the ONE Bantamweight division since March 2019 after he won the title for the third time in his career. The Brazilian is currently on a two-fight winning streak having defeated Kevin Belingon twice.

He has not fought since his title defense in October 2019 and would be interesting to see how the long break. Bibiano currently holds a professional record of 24-4 to his name and has been in the ONE Championship ranks since August 2012.

John Lineker, on the other hand, is undefeated in ONE Championship. The Brazilian made his ONE Championship debut back in 2019 and has secured wins over Muin Gafurov, Former Champion Kevin Belingon, and Troy Worthen. Lineker was supposed to fight Team Lakay star Stephen Loman as well but the fight did not materialize.

Lineker is currently 34-9 to his name and previously fought in the UFC where he had a memorable run.

This bout between Bibiano and Lineker was originally slated to happen at ONE X in December 2021, but the event and matchup were postponed until early 2022. The match will now serve as the main event for the ONE: Bad Blood card on 11 February 2022.
