Former ONE Championship two-division champion Aung La N Sang is all set to fight Vitaly Bigdash in February. The fight was announced by ONE Championship CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong during the ONE Heavy Hitters Post-fight virtual media conference.

“It is a trilogy fight with Vitaly Bidgash. Vitaly has had a string of injuries that has side-lined him for the past couple of years but he is a 100% healthy now and he is ready to take on Aung La. This is a fight that we have been trying to make for a while now but again, Vitaly was injured or has had multiple injuries but he is healthy now,” Chatri said when answering to Nick Atkin of SCMP MMA

Earlier, Aung La N Sang had revealed that he will be making his return to the ONE circle soon although the opponent was not revealed. The Burmese Python is coming off a knockout win against Leandro Ataides prior to which he was sitting on a two-fight losing streak having lost to Reinier De Ridder at Middleweight and Light Heavyweight.

Vitaly Bigdash, on the other hand, is on a two-fight winning streak with his wins coming over Fan Rong and Yuki Niimura.

The last time Bigdash and Aung La fought, it was the Burmese Python that came out on top with a unanimous decision win. However, before this, Bigdash had secured a decision win over Aung La as well which took the rivalry to 1-1.

ONE Middleweight champion, Reinier De Ridder, meanwhile, will be locking horns with ONE Welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE: Full Circle in February.
