Reinier De Ridder is all set to defend his ONE Middleweight title at ONE: Full Circle on February 25, 2022, as he will be fighting ONE Welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov.

The announcement was made by ONE Championship CEO and Chairman Chatri Sityodtong during the ONE: Heavy Hitters broadcast.

Abbasov, who is currently reigning on top of the Welterweight division has a professional record of 23-4 to his name and is on a five-fight winning streak at the moment. In his last outing, he outclassed James Nakashima and will be looking to become a double champion when he moves up to Middleweight to battle De Ridder.

De Ridder, on the other hand, is coming into the fight on the back of two back-to-back wins over Aung La N Sang which in turn made him the ONE Middleweight and Light Heavy Weight champion. The Dutchman is 14-0 in his career at the moment and had earlier called out a long list of athletes from the ONE Championship roster including Abbasov.

Apart from the fight between De Ridder and Abbasov, a Featherweight title fight between Thanh Le and Garry Tonon has also been announced by ONE Championship. This matchup will happen on the March 11, 2022, card from the promotion.

March will also play host to ONE X card which features some high-profile fights including the showdown between Angela Lee and Stamp Fairtex and Demetrious Johnson vs. Rodtang.
