The fight between Tial Thang and Sunoto Peringkat at ONE: Bad Blood was something that a lot of fans looked forward to. The fight started off on a good note as well but unfortunately, the fight was stopped at the 1:39 mark in the first-round after an accidental knee to the groin.

The result led to many debates on the internet as many thought that the knee from Tial Thang did not land in the groin.

Thang’s training partner and former ONE Championship double champion Aung La N Sang posted an Instagram post after the result announcement and made it clear that Thang will be making a return soon.

“Unfortunately, @tialzathang77 fight was considered No Contest because of the low blow.  he will be back!” The Burmese Python wrote.

“That was clean,” wrote ONE Championship fighter Gurdarshan Mangat below the post.

UFC fighter Chas Skelly wrote that it was a TKO in his books.

“Dude’s shorts were pulled up to his belly button. Shot was clean. That’s a TKO in my book!,” he commented.

Bellator MMA’s Saul Rogers, UFC’s Christos Giagos and many others had a similar opinion about the result.
