Aung La N Sang suffered a decision loss to Vitaly Bigdash this past weekend at ONE: Full Circle. The former ONE Double champion was looking to win the trilogy by outclassing Bigdash but the Russian’s superior grappling skills proved to be the difference in the fight.

Bigdash was able to takedown Aung La multiple times during the fight and had a good share of dominance in the grappling exchanges as well which gave him the decision win.

Following his loss, Aung La had apologized to the fans and now, his coach Henri Hooft has promised that the Burmese Python will be making his return soon.

“Proud to be with this MAN a FIGHTER… father and role model for many people around the world!! @aunglansang is more [than] a fighter. As a trainer and fighter, we win and we lose together. That's the PATH we choose…..we keep on charging and we will be back!!! @sanfordmma,” Hooft wrote on Instagram.

A former kickboxer, Henri Hooft has been working with Aung La at Sanford MMA for a long time now. Apart from Aung La, Hooft has trained top contenders such as Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort, Anthony Johnson, Michael Johnson, Eddie Alvarez, Kamaru Usman, Jake Shields, Matt Mitrione, Gilbert Burns, and Michael Chandler
