Aung La N Sang suffered a decision loss to Vitaly Bigdash at ONE: Full Circle today and the Burmese Python has now apologized to his fans in Myanmar for his performance.

Aung La put out a statement on Facebook today where he promised to make a strong return.

“To my Myanmar fans, I’m sorry I let you down tonight. I did my best to prepare for the fight and was ready but things just didn’t go my way. I promise I will get better. Always praying for Myanmar and keeping you in my heart,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

Aung La and Vitaly Bigdash went the complete distance in their trilogy bout today and saw Bigdash outclassing Aung La with his grappling skills. Bigdash managed to land a string of takedowns throughout the three rounds and had the upper hand when the fight went to the ground.

Although Aung La had his moments in the fight while standing up, things did not go his way when Bigdash took the proceedings to the ground. This eventually cost the former ONE two-division champion as he was on the defensive mode throughout the fight.

Bigdash, meanwhile, improved his winning streak to three fights and also called out Reinier De Ridder. The Russian made it clear that he is coming for De Ridder who outclassed Kiamrian Abbasov to retain the ONE Middleweight title. De Ridder submitted Abbasov in the third round via an arm triangle to secure his first title defense.
