Indian MMA fighter Owais Yaqoob has signed a multi-fight contract with BRAVE Combat Federation, the Bahrain-based global MMA promotion announced Monday.
Yaqoob, 3-1 as a professional, is on a three-fight winning streak. He most recently defeated Pratik Sadashiv Shetty by second-round TKO via ground-and-pound at Veswa Fighting Championship 4 on April 19.
The Srinagar native began his current run in March 2024 with a unanimous decision victory over Afghanistan’s Mohammad Azim Mokhlis at Matrix Fight Night 14. He followed it with another unanimous decision win over Kazakhstan’s Amanzhol Khaisa at Naiza FC 70 in December.
Yaqoob made his professional debut in March 2023 at Matrix Fight Night 11, suffering a third-round submission loss to Neeraj Panghal. Since then, he has shown steady improvement, earning his spot on one of MMA’s most internationally active rosters.
BRAVE CF has not yet announced Yaqoob’s promotional debut date or opponent.
