At BRAVE CF 73, Zach Makovsky aims to defy time as he faces off against Flavio de Queiroz in the heart of Bogota, Colombia.
Despite being 40 years old, Makovsky is determined to break free from a two-fight losing streak and reestablish himself as a formidable force in the flyweight division. With nearly two decades of experience in the game, the former Bellator champion has tasted both triumphs and setbacks along the way.
From a young age, Makovsky's strong wrestling background laid the foundation for his journey in combat sports. Surprisingly, it was his passion for martial arts movies that truly ignited his commitment to the sport. Since then, he has ventured across the globe, building a reputation as a relentless fighter who never backs down from a challenge.
Approaching his upcoming clash with Flavio de Queiroz, Makovsky exudes a positive mindset, ready to embrace the opportunity with unwavering determination.
"I think we're both pretty well-rounded. There's not one area where there's a drastic difference, I don't think. I think we can both do everything. We both can strike, both can wrestle. We both can grapple from top and bottom."
"I think he's kind of like a momentum fighter. If you let him get going too much, he's good at keeping the pressure on, stringing good combinations together and kind of bullying you around. So, I don't want to let him kind of get on a roll at all. I'm also somewhat of a difficult fighter to do that against."

As he steps into the arena at Coliseo El Salitre on August 12 for BRAVE CF 73, Makovsky seeks to prove that his fighting spirit remains undiminished. While the main event features the clash for the vacant Bantamweight World Title between Jose "Shorty" Torres and Nkosi "The Future" Ndebele, all eyes will also be on Makovsky as he looks to turn back the clock and make a memorable statement in his flyweight showdown.
