Jake Paul, fresh off a TKO victory over Mike Perry, wasted no time in setting his sights on future opponents. In a post-fight interview, Paul expressed his admiration for Perry's toughness, saying, “Man, he’s tough as nails. I’m sorry that took so long. Tampa, I love you!”
Paul attributed his win to his powerful punches and then shifted focus to calling out former UFC middleweight champion Alex Pereira for a boxing match. "I simply hit too hard," Paul said, before making the unexpected challenge to Pereira, well aware that such a fight is unlikely to materialize.
Demonstrating his promotional acumen, Paul kept the audience engaged with his callout. He also hinted at a future in bare-knuckle boxing, although he emphasized his primary goal of becoming a cruiserweight champion within the next two years.
Paul ended his speech with a personal message to boxing legend Mike Tyson, expressing both respect and a challenge. “I love you, but boxing is my sport now,” he declared.
Mike Perry, who faced defeat, spoke next. He revealed that he had been unwell in the lead-up to the fight and had issues with his hand. He took the opportunity to commend Amanda Serrano and acknowledge Ashton Sylve despite Sylve's knockout loss.
