Umar Nurmagomedov, the rising star in the UFC bantamweight division and cousin of the legendary Khabib Nurmagomedov, is making headlines not just for his impressive 16-0 undefeated record but also for the challenge of finding willing opponents.
The fighter, known as the 'Young Eagle,' has a perfect 4-0 record within the UFC, showcasing his dominance in the bantamweight ranks. However, it appears that his success has created a dilemma, as he took to social media to express his frustration about potential opponents avoiding him.
Nurmagomedov's most recent outing was against Raoni Barcelos at UFC Vegas 67 in January, where he delivered a stunning knockout victory in the first round. Despite such performances, the 26-year-old fighter claims that the intimidation factor is keeping fighters from stepping up to face him.
Earlier this week, Nurmagomedov declared on social media that he is struggling to find opponents willing to face him in the octagon. To address this issue, he has now publicly called out former flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo.
Using the platform X, Nurmagomedov succinctly called out Figueiredo by writing his name, signaling his eagerness to take on the former champion and prove his mettle in the highly competitive bantamweight division.

The Dagestani fighter was initially scheduled to face Cory Sandhagen in the main event of UFC Nashville on August 5, 2023. Unfortunately, Nurmagomedov suffered a serious shoulder injury a month before the bout, leading to the need for surgery.
Now fully recovered, 'Young Eagle' is ready to step back into the octagon, expressing his eagerness to resume his journey in the UFC. Despite his enthusiasm, the UFC has yet to announce his next opponent, leaving fans and Nurmagomedov himself anticipating a significant matchup in the near future. As the bantamweight division continues to evolve, the question remains: who will be brave enough to face the undefeated force that is Umar Nurmagomedov?
