UFC Vegas 71 Results: Sergei Pavlovich knocks out Curtis Blaydes

On Sunday, April 23, UFC FIGHT NIGHT: PAVLOVICH vs. BLAYDES or UFC Vegas 71 was broadcast live from the UFC APEX in Las Vegas throughout Asia.

The crucial heavyweight matchup between Curtis Blaydes and Sergei Pavlovich, rated #3 and #4, was plenty of action. Pavlovich kept his word and delivered a series of hard blows that prevented Blaydes from completing a takedown. He defeated the opponent with a left-right combination in the opening round, and following his sixth first-round KO.

"Thank you for everyone who was rooting for me, you don't know how hard I was working. Usually, it's the strikers that get bonuses, not the people who finish on the ground. Hopefully, I get the bonus this time as well. And hey, where's my belt?,” he said after the win.

At the opening bell, middleweights Brad Tavares and Bruno Silva exchanged powerful blows. Silva gave Tavares a knee to the jaw in the opening round, knocked him to the ground with a right punch, and the referee stopped the fight.
