UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Hill is just around the corner. Thiago Santos and Jamahal Hill, the No. 6 and No. 10 ranked light heavyweight contenders respectively, will square off in the UFC's return to UFC APEX. The co-main event is a crucial clash between No. 6 welterweight contender Vicente Luque and No. 13 welterweight contender Geoff Neal.

The thrilling finale of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Pena vs. Team Nunes is also on the schedule, with fights between Mohammed Usman and Zac Pauga at heavyweight and Brogan Walker and Juliana Miller at flyweight with UFC contracts on the line.

Thiago Santos vs. Jamahal Hill Preview

A fresh up-and-coming fighter will face dangerous striker Santos (22-10, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) when he returns to the Octagon. Santos, a knockout artist and past championship challenger with 15 KOs, has outstanding wins over the likes of Jan Blachowicz, Anthony Smith, and Jack Hermansson, a former UFC light heavyweight champion. Santos is now attempting to defeat Hill with another one of his trademark finishes in order to reclaim the title.

With another devastating knockout victory, rising star Hill (10-1-1, Grand Rapids, Michigan) hopes to move up the 205-pound weight division. In his brief experience in the Octagon, the Dana White's Contender Series signee has produced outstanding finishes against Johnny Walker, Jimmy Crute, and Ovince Saint Preux. Hill is eager to make a statement against a true industry veteran and is committed to overtaking Santos in the rankings to show that a new title contender is on the horizon.

Vicente Luque vs. Geoff Neal Preview

Luque (21-8, fighting out of Brasilia, Brazil) returns to the Octagon to face reputable challenger Neal. With a 90% finish percentage, the grappling expert with knockout power has defeated Tyron Woodley, Michael Chiesa, Randy Brown, and Bryan Barberena, who was the former UFC welterweight champion. Against Neal, Luque will now want to maintain his position in the rankings by putting on a show-stopping performance.

Neal, a welterweight who is now ranked No. 13 and fights out of Dallas, Texas, is looking to make a statement against one of the most lethal competitors in the division. Neal has distinguished himself as one of the top 170-pound fighters since being signed from Dana White's Contender Series with victories over Belal Muhammad, Mike Perry, and Santiago Ponzinibbio. Now, Neal is attempting to thwart Luque and add another illustrious name to his résumé.

Other fights on the card

Usman (8-2, competing out of Mansfield, Texas) is a finalist on The Ultimate Fighter for the heavyweight division and hopes to join his brother, UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, on the roster with a decisive victory. Pauga (6-0, fighting out of Lakewood, Colorado) wants to become the first person to knockout Usman in order to maintain his perfect record.

In order to achieve the biggest victory of her career, flyweight finalist Walker (8-2, fighting out of Upland, California) plans to rely on her knowledge and all-around abilities. Miller (3-1, competing out of Lakeside, California) aims to keep defying the odds by completing another submission.
