Ranked No. 4 and No. 5 respectively, Gaethje and Pimblett engaged in a relentless 25-minute battle that lived up to its main event billing. Gaethje scored multiple knockdowns and consistently pushed the pace, while Pimblett showed remarkable durability and heart to remain competitive throughout. All three judges scored the contest in Gaethje’s favor, crowning him interim champion.
In the co-main event, former UFC bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley earned a unanimous decision victory over China’s Song Yadong. Song found early success with takedowns in the first two rounds, but O’Malley adjusted with cleaner striking and superior movement down the stretch to secure all three scorecards.
The card also featured several standout performances. Waldo Cortes Acosta stopped Derrick Lewis via second-round TKO, while Natalia Silva earned an impressive decision win over former strawweight champion Rose Namajunas. Umar Nurmagomedov continued his rise in the bantamweight division with a dominant decision over Deiveson Figueiredo.
