UFC 321: ASPINALL vs. GANE aired live from Etihad Arena on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, drawing a sold-out crowd of 13,220 on Sunday.

UFC Heavyweight Championship

The main event between Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane ended in a no contest after the champion suffered an accidental eye poke in the first round. Gane began strong, utilizing his jab effectively, while Aspinall countered with powerful shots. However, the bout was waved off at 4:35 of Round 1 when Aspinall could not continue. The UFC confirmed there will be an immediate rematch.

UFC Strawweight Championship

In the co-main event, Mackenzie Dern captured the vacant UFC Strawweight Championship, defeating Virna Jandiroba by unanimous decision (48-47, 48-46, 49-46). Dern’s sharp striking and composure on the ground earned her the victory.

“It’s a dream come true,” Dern said. “Every fight, I bring something new. I want to be a dominant champion.”

Japan Represent

Japan’s Mizuki made a triumphant return after two years, defeating Jaqueline Amorim by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28). Mizuki displayed striking precision and heart in the later rounds.

“I had fun tonight! Every punch, I heard the crowd and it made me more confident,” she said.
