UFC 298 Results: Ilia Topuria knocks out Alexander Volkanovski to win title

UFC returned with UFC 298 today. The event was headlined by the Featherweight Title showdown between Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria.

The main event proved to be the biggest newsmaker of the event as Ilia Topuria knocked out Alexander Volkanovski in the second round to win the Featherweight title. Topuria had a strong first round which pushed Volkanovski to the backfoot. In the second, the Spaniard closed the fight and stopped Volkanovski to win the title.

In the co-main event, the former UFC Middleweight champion Robert Whittaker got the better of Paulo Costa. Whittaker and Costa delivered an exciting three-round contest which was ruled in favor of Whittaker by the judges.

Merab Dvalishvili pushed his case for a Bantamweight Title shot by outclassing Former Two-Division champion Henry Cejudo. Merab was in the driving seat throughout the fight and called out Sean O Malley after the fight.

Anthony Hernandez secured a submission win in the main card opener when Amanda Lemos, Marcos Rogerio and Rinya Nakamura won in the prelims. You can see the complete fight card for the event below.
