UFC 292 goes down this weekend. For the seventh instance in its history, and the first occurrence since October 2019, the UFC is returning to Boston, and this time, they're bringing along an action-packed pay-per-view fight card.

Highlighted by two captivating championship showdowns and bolstered by the finals of this season's Ultimate Fighter tournament, as well as a series of fiercely contested and significant matches spanning various weight divisions, UFC 292 stands out as one of the premier PPV lineups of the year up to this point. With a compact 12-fight lineup, the excitement is anticipated to surge from the opening bell and maintain its intensity all the way through the culminating title bouts that conclude the event.

Aljamain Sterling vs. Sean O Malley Preview

Just a few months following their face-to-face encounter in the Octagon that set the stage for this showdown, Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley are set to clash for the bantamweight championship in the main event of UFC 292.

Throughout the past six years, Sterling has impressively amassed a streak of nine consecutive victories against ranked adversaries. This remarkable run includes capturing and successfully defending the bantamweight title on three occasions. Notably, he has triumphed over three former champions in succession, secured a first-round submission win over perennial contender Cory Sandhagen, and holds an impressive overall record of 23-3. On the other side, the 28-year-old O’Malley has seemed destined to vie for championship glory ever since he emerged as the breakout sensation from the inaugural season of Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS). Following a split decision triumph over former titleholder Petr Yan at UFC 280 in October of the previous year, "Sugar" boasts a record of 16-1 with one no contest.

Zhang Weili vs. Amanda Lemos Preview

In the co-main event, the strawweight title will be up for grabs as reigning champion Zhang Weili embarks on her second reign at the summit of the division. Her opponent is the Brazilian finisher Amanda Lemos.

Following her twin losses to Rose Namajunas in 2021, Zhang rebounded with back-to-back second-round stoppage victories last year. She first dispatched Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 275 before convincingly defeating Carla Esparza to regain the title at UFC 281 in November. The 33-year-old Chinese standout has continuously augmented her skill set and honed her abilities over the past several years, reaffirming her capacity to embark on a sustained dominance as the ruler of the 115-pound weight class.

After having her five-fight win streak disrupted by former champion Jessica Andrade last April, Lemos rebounded with two finishes of her own, further establishing herself as one of the top contenders in the division. In July, the heavy-handed 36-year-old submitted Michelle Waterson-Gomez. A week before Zhang's title victory at Madison Square Garden, Lemos impressively halted compatriot Marina Rodriguez with a barrage of strikes early in the third round of their main event matchup.
