One of the most viral images from the past fights of Adesanya and Pereira was Pereira’s son mocking Adesanya for getting knocked out. Izzy finally got one back in Miami and he said it out loud in the post-fight press conference as well.

“I’m petty bro. I remember, the first time I was knocked out in Brazil, his son came in the ring and just lied dead next to me. And I was like f**ing as**hole. I will whoop your dad’s a**, I will do it for you. I looked for the kid, I pointed at him and I was like ‘hey hey hey’ [pretends sleeping],” Adesanya said.

The champion, however noted that he is cool with the young kid and noted that they are cool. He also shared his respect for the son of Pereira.
