Combat Kinetics put out dominant performance at Strangle Open Bengaluru

Combat Kinetics Chennai produced a memorable performance at Strangle Open in Bengaluru and topped the standings with 3 gold medals and 1 bronze medal. Institute of Jiu-Jitsu came in second in the standings with one silver and one bronze medal while Reign MMA had silver to their name and was third.

Strangle Open Bengaluru, which had competition across four weight classes saw athletes from around India competing.

Sumit Bhyan continues his dominance

In the Men’s Absolute Pro Division, Sumit Bhyan clinched the gold over Peeyush Pandey and Sanjay Nambiar. An undefeated MMA Fighter on the domestic circuit, Sumit has been a force to reckon with in the grappling scene as well and had won the Ultimate Grappling Championship event a few months back.

Combat Kinetics reigns supreme

In the Men’s -66 KG Category, Shabarish of Combat Kinetics secured first place over Jitendra Shukla of Reign MMA and Ashutosh Das of Westbay BJJ. Another Indian MMA standout, Shabarish outclassed Jitendra in the final to secure the gold medal.

Ashwin Chidambaram, who has been making waves in the Indian Combat Sports circuit, won the Men’s -77 KG category. Dinesh Singh of School of Combat came in second while Farhan Ukwuomah of Institute of Jiu-Jitsu came in at the third sport.

Combat Kinetics athletes Aishwarya PV and Fathima Afshan secured gold and bronze medals respectively in the Women’s -65 KG category. The silver medal was won by Aliya Sharieff of the Institute of Jiu-Jitsu in the division.
