Former BRAVE Combat Federation bantamweight champion Stephen Loman will make his long-awaited return to the promotion when he faces No. 2-ranked contender Lasha Abramishvili at BRAVE CF 108 on Sept. 5 at the historic Pula Arena in Pula, Croatia.
Loman, one of the most successful bantamweights in BRAVE CF history, returns to competition after several years away with his sights firmly set on reclaiming the bantamweight title. The Filipino veteran owns a perfect 6-0 record in BRAVE CF and captured the inaugural bantamweight championship with a first-round stoppage of Gurdarshan Mangat at BRAVE CF 9 in 2017.
During his title reign, Loman defended the belt four times over 1,179 days, highlighted by a fourth-round knockout victory over former featherweight champion Elias Boudegzdame in front of his home fans in Manila. He enters the bout with a professional record of 17-3, including six knockout victories and two submissions.
"I have waited a long time for this moment, and I am truly grateful that my return is finally happening in BRAVE CF," Loman said. "Coming back here means a lot to me. This fight in Croatia is the first step toward winning the BRAVE CF bantamweight world title once more."
Standing in his way is Georgia's Lasha Abramishvili, who has emerged as one of the division's top contenders. Abramishvili carries a 12-2-1 professional record and remains unbeaten in four BRAVE CF appearances, winning three of those contests by stoppage.
The Georgian most recently earned a unanimous decision over Brice Picaud at BRAVE CF 106 and believes a victory over the former champion would secure him a shot at current bantamweight champion Borislav Nikolić.
"It is a huge honor to compete against a fighter who helped build this division," Abramishvili said. "I know that if I can convincingly defeat him, I will have proven that I deserve to fight for the BRAVE CF bantamweight world title next."
The matchup carries significant title implications, with Loman looking to begin his journey back to championship gold while Abramishvili aims to strengthen his case as the next challenger for Nikolić's title at BRAVE CF 108.
