ONE World Champion Stella Hemetsberger Predicts Title Retention

Stella Hemetsberger has two titles and zero intentions of giving either of them up. The Austrian two-sport ONE World Champion steps into her first ONE Women's Strawweight Muay Thai World Title defense against Natalia Diachkova in the main event of ONE Fight Night 46 on Saturday, August 15.

The 27-year-old has built one of the most impressive unbeaten records in the women's striking divisions since making her ONE debut on the Friday Fights circuit.

The RS-GYM and Phuket Fight Club product carries a perfect 5-0 ONE record and a 10-1 striking slate into her first Muay Thai title defense, and the mindset that got her to this point has not wavered for a single moment.

"My mindset hasn't changed. I'm always working hard, and my main goal is to become better, evolve, and get more skills as a fighter. Of course, I have two belts to defend, but the main goal is to give my best performance," she said.

Standing across from her is a challenger who has carved a remarkably similar path to the top. Diachkova, 31, launched her career in the ONE Friday Fights series in 2023, claiming four victories to earn her six-figure contract in 2024 before falling short in her first title challenge. The Team Mehdi Zatout product bounced back with two consecutive wins to reassert herself as the division's most dangerous contender.

Hemetsberger, however, is not losing sleep over the Russian's power. She has a prediction for how August 15 ends, and it is as confident as it is concise.

"It doesn't matter whether the finish comes. If the knockout comes, it comes. If it doesn't, it doesn't. But my prediction is 'And still, Stella Hemetsberger,'" she explained.

That confidence is rooted in a career that has tested her resolve across five-round championship wars without ever finding a way to put her down. For Hemetsberger, that unblemished record of heart and durability is as important as any technique in her arsenal.

"Having won five rounds and never been knocked out once in any of my professional fights before gives me confidence. It shows my fighting heart and spirit. I would say I just have the right healthy amount of confidence as always," she added.
