Stamp Fairtex is not one to hide from difficult conversations, especially when they involve herself.
Thai megastar returns to action in the atomweight Muay Thai main event of ONE Fight Night 47 on Saturday, September 5, taking on America's Selina Flores, and she arrives carrying the weight of a painfully honest self-assessment after her recent performances.
The 28-year-old Fairtex Training Center product is one of the most decorated fighters in ONE Championship history, holding the distinction of being the only athlete to claim world titles in Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA within the promotion.
But the road back from a serious knee injury that forced her to relinquish her ONE Atomweight MMA World Title in 2025 has been far from the triumphant return her fans had hoped for. A decision loss to Kana on her comeback last year was followed by a razor-close split decision win over Cynthia Flores in June, and Stamp is under no illusions about the quality of those performances.
"My last fight was bad. That was the most disappointed I've ever been with myself after a fight. I saw some comments saying Stamp doesn't have that killer instinct anymore, and I think there was a little truth to that because I didn't feel very fresh," she said.
The root of those struggles, Stamp believes, traces directly back to the extended layoff and the physical toll it has taken on a body that needs competition to stay sharp.
"What I realized after recovering from the injury and coming back is that I get tired easily. Being away from competition for so long affected my cardio, my muscles, my speed — everything. My confidence too," she explained.
Three years away from the ring left marks that cannot be erased overnight, and Stamp is confronting that reality with the same directness she brings to her performances.
"I was away for two or three years, so that was the starting point of me getting slower and losing some of that fighter's instinct. It felt like I had to start from zero again," she added.
