Demetrious Johnson feels that Stamp Fairtex is unbeatable in ONE Championship

Stamp Fairtex, the Thai sensation who has conquered multiple disciplines under the ONE Championship banner, is poised to achieve her goal of becoming a three-sport queen, according to none other than ONE Flyweight World Champion Demetrious Johnson.

In her upcoming MMA bout, Stamp, the division's top contender, will face off against #2-ranked Ham "Hamzzang" Seo Hee for the ONE Interim Women's Atomweight World Title. This highly anticipated clash will take place as the main event of ONE Fight Night 14 on Prime Video, broadcasting live in U.S. primetime on Friday, September 1.

"Mighty Mouse" Johnson watched in sheer admiration as Stamp, a former ONE Atomweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion, made a remarkable impact during ONE's North American debut at ONE Fight Night 10.

This monumental event featured Johnson's own ONE Flyweight World Title rubber match against Adriano Moraes. From the backstage area, Johnson witnessed Stamp's captivating performance that left the crowd in awe at the sold-out 1stBank Center in Denver, Colorado.

Stamp, at the age of 25, showcased her trademark Stamp Dance, backed up her hype with a devastating body kick knockout in the second round, and celebrated her victory with her signature twirl. Johnson, impressed by her all-around display against Alyse Anderson, deemed her US$50,000 performance bonus-winning debut in the United States flawless.

In fact, the MMA legend believes that no contender can measure up to Stamp's skillset as she pursues three-sport glory in her career.

“Stamp has done amazing [with] her development. I think she’s going to have to run into somebody who’s a very big, athletic wrestler [in order to face any] trouble. I don’t see anybody in ONE Championship that’s going to be able to beat her,” Johnson said.

Despite encountering a setback in her quest to become the first-ever three-sport World Champion for ONE Championship, falling to Angela Lee at ONE X in March 2022, Stamp has amassed numerous victories, including winning the ONE Women's Atomweight World Grand Prix Championship. With Lee taking an extended hiatus from competition to prioritize family matters, Stamp's triumph over Anderson has earned her an opportunity to compete for interim gold against the formidable #2-ranked Ham Seo Hee.

Johnson firmly believes that Stamp's continually expanding arsenal and undeniable charisma will be the driving forces that propel her towards MMA gold in the coming months. As the highly anticipated ONE Fight Night 14 approaches, all eyes will be on Stamp Fairtex as she aims to solidify her status as a dominant force across multiple sports within the ONE Championship organization.

“I think she’ll probably be an [MMA] champion here soon,” he concluded.
