What will happen if a former K1 Kickboxing champion takes on street fighters? Well, this is exactly what went down when a few street fighters decided to step into the ring with Rukiya Anpo.
Hailing from Japan, Rukiya Anpo is a former K1 Super Light Weight Champion and holds a professional kickboxing record of 26-8-0 to his name with 14 of his wins coming via knockout.
After starting his career as a Karateka as a youngster, Anpo transitioned into kickboxing and has been on a successful run ever since. He has held the -65 KG K1 title and is a runner-up in the -67.5 KG championship Grand Prix. Anpo is a K-1 award KO of the year winner as well in 2017.
In the video which is now going viral on the internet, Anpo is seen taking on ‘street fighters’ who visited his gym. While one post suggested that the street fighters interrupted the sparring session between Rukiya Anpo and Kosei Yamada, another user pointed out that the street fighters were invited as part of a YouTube video. The user also noted that Rukiya took out the street fighters to a Japanese BBQ restaurant after the fight and chatted with them.
Irrespective of whether it was a setup or not, the sparring session seems pretty intense and we can see Anpo ripping apart the challengers that stepped into the ring with him. In fact, Anpo even busted open the first person that stepped into the ring with him and knocked him down with a flurry of combinations.
