Former UFC Champion Ronda Rousey expected to enter Marvel Cinematic Universe

Ronda Rousey is now aiming for success in the glitzy world of Hollywood after conquering both the UFC and WWE. The legendary UFC fighter is reportedly in talks to join the renowned Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Rousey is reportedly in talks with the multi-billion dollar brand for a future project, according to the Big Freakin Robot website.

In the next Captain America: New World Order movie, she is anticipated to portray the super-strong warrior Thundra. Time-traveler Thundra is from a different bleak future. There are questions about whether Bruce Banner will make a cameo in the film because the character is connected to the Hulk.

Rousey will be following in the footsteps of some of WWE's biggest stars by joining the Superhero film franchise. Some professional wrestling stars, like John Cena, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Batista, have landed significant roles in the superhero universe.

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Batista portrayed Drax the Destroyer, a fan favourite. For the DCEU, John Cena and Dwayne Johnson played the roles of Black Adam and Peacemaker, respectively.

On May 3, 2024, Captain America: New World Order is scheduled for release. There are rumours that Marvel may delay the release date because of the glut of superhero movies.

Rousey managed to fit in time for her acting career despite working as a full-time combatant. On the programmes Honoo-no Taiiku-kai TV, Drunk History, Blind Sport, and 9-1-1, she had brief appearances. Her well-known cinematic roles appeared in Furious 7 and The Expendables 3. In Expendables 3, Rousey appeared as Luna, a bar bouncer opposite Jason Statham and Barney Rose.
