Although the curtain is just about to close in 2022, the tenure of one of the mixed martial arts hottest prospects is just about to begin in ONE Championship.

Roberto “Robocop” Soldic will face undefeated Murad Ramazanov at ONE Fight Night 5: De Ridder vs. Malykhin on Saturday, 3 December, in a lightweight MMA bout that could have World Title implications.

Soldic’s signature was highly sought after when the 20-3 battler announced that he was a free agent earlier this year. The man who’s riding a seven-fight winning streak got offers from organizations all over the world, and in the end he inked a deal with ONE Championship.

The notorious knockout artist built a name for himself on the European scene, capturing five major titles during his stint on the continent. Over the course of his 23 professional fights, Soldic scored 17 victories by knockout.

While his confidence is high heading into his ONE debut, Soldic’s welcoming party will try to be spoiled by one man – Ramazanov.

Ramazanov enters the opening bout of ONE Fight Night 5’s main card focused on stopping Soldic’s momentum. The undefeated Russian has thus far remained flawless in ONE Championship, picking up victories over the likes of Bae Myung Ho by knockout and former ONE Welterweight World Champ Zebastian Kadestam by unanimous decision.

The wrestling prowess Ramazanov holds is an asset that he will be ready to use to make Soldic’s debut a somber evening.

The main card opener between the two dynamic fighters could also be considered a welterweight title eliminator. With newly crowned ONE Welterweight World Champion Christian Lee watching closely in the wings, it’ll be essential for both men to stamp their mark in the upper echelons of the division.
