Road to UFC Semifinals Set for Aug. 22 in Shanghai

The Road to UFC Season 4 semifinals will take place Friday, Aug. 22, as part of a packed fight week in Shanghai leading up to UFC Fight Night: Walker vs. Zhang. The semifinal event will feature 16 of Asia Pacific’s top MMA prospects vying for a UFC contract.

The main attraction features viral sensation Shi Ming (17-5), winner of last season’s strawweight tournament, making her official UFC debut against Brazil’s Bruna Brasil (10-5-1).

The semifinal matchups span four weight divisions:

Flyweight:

• Agulali (China) vs. Namsrai Batbayar (Mongolia)

• Yin Shuai (China) vs. Aaron Tau (New Zealand)

Bantamweight:

• Sim Kai Xiong (Singapore) vs. Sulangrangbo (China)

• Lawrence Lui (New Zealand) vs. Van Y Nghiehm (Vietnam)

Featherweight:

• Keiichiro Nakamura (Japan) vs. Li Kaiwen (China)

• Sebastian Szalay (Australia) vs. Changmin Yoon (South Korea)

Lightweight:

• Dom Mar Fan (Australia) vs. Jaehyun Park (South Korea)

• Ren Yawei (China) vs. Sangwook Kim (South Korea)
