UFC Returns to Shanghai with Walker vs. Zhang Main Event

The UFC will return to mainland China for a prime-time fight night on Saturday, Aug. 23, headlined by a top-15 light heavyweight showdown between No. 12 Johnny Walker and China’s own No. 14-ranked Zhang Mingyang. The event will take place at the Shanghai Indoor Arena, marking UFC’s fourth show in the country.

Walker (21-9), known for his explosive striking, looks to bounce back into title contention after key victories over Khalil Rountree Jr. and Anthony Smith. Meanwhile, Zhang (19-6), fresh off a highlight-reel knockout over Smith in April, has finished all 19 of his wins in the first round and hopes to deliver another statement performance on home soil.
