Rambolek Eyes Nabil Anane Showdown After Spectacular Main Event Knockout Win

Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon turned pre-fight promises into reality at ONE Fight Night 39 on January 24

He systematically dismantled Abdulla Dayakaev with brutal body shots that forced a second-round stoppage and positioned the Thai striker for a championship opportunity.

The Superbon Training Camp affiliate collected a US$50,000 performance bonus while cementing his status as the leading contender for ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane's title through his dominant main event performance at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Rambolek's victory validated the preparation that allowed him to identify and exploit a weakness previous opponents had overlooked in the Russian.

"I'm very happy, and it's such a huge relief that I am able to win and able to achieve whatever I promised today. The plans that I had planned also worked, so I'm very happy," the Thai striker stated.

The triumph delivered on his bold prediction that he would finish Dayakaev, countering the 23-year-old Dagestan-born fighter's confidence in his boxing superiority with a complete Muay Thai performance that overwhelmed the Russian's one-dimensional approach.

Rambolek's scouting work proved instrumental in designing the attack strategy that ended Dayakaev's four-fight winning streak and handed him his second promotional defeat.

"I said that I spotted his weakness, and the fans saw it on the ring, and I was able to show that his weakness was the body shot, because I studied his fight, and I did not see anyone [who] was able to throw the body shot against him before," Rambolek explained.

The body attack served as the perfect counter to Dayakaev's boxing-heavy game, breaking down his defensive structure and ultimately creating the opening for the second-round finish that earned the performance bonus.

With five consecutive victories now secured and his finishing credentials established through this statement performance, Rambolek wasted no time pursuing his ultimate goal. He immediately sought out champion Anane to declare his intentions.

"I am ready if the opportunity presents itself. I think it's time. I ran into him already today, and I already said hi to him. I told him I wanted to fight him, and yeah, I think it would be entertaining if I got to fight him," the 22-year-old revealed.
