UFC’s introduction of the Powerslap raised a few eyebrows in the MMA community. While some people welcomed the concept with warm hands, others decided to question the same. Nevertheless, Powerslap seems to be doing well as far as numbers are concerned on the UFC YouTube channel.
The Power Slap: Road to the Title Episode 1, which was released by the UFC a few days ago, garnered a total of 546K views on the platform despite the video being 46 minutes long. In comparison, the octagon interview of Shogun Rua, which was also his retirement interview, garnered 125K views on the same day.
The Octagon Interview of Gilbert Burns garnered 381K views while the retirement video and octagon interview of Glover Teixeira garnered 380K views. Interestingly, all these videos are just 2 minutes long as well.
The interviews of Jamahal Hill, Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno, however, managed to outclass the Road to Title Episode 1 video and garnered more views.
The Road to Title Episode 2 video has garnered 817K views in just 6 days outclassing the UFC 284 Promo which was released on the same day featuring Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski which got 423K views. The promo is only 2 minutes long when the Road to Title episode was 47 minutes long.
Another Powerslap video that did well on the UFC YouTube channel is the Top 5 Power Slap Knockouts which has done 1 million views in just 8 days. This has outclassed the Jose Also UFC Hall of Fame announcement and has almost the same views as the Alexander Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway 3 Free Fight which UFC has released.
