PFL Uncasville Results: Dakota Ditcheva remains top seed with impressive win

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) resumed its 2024 PFL Global Season at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, featuring a thrilling eleven-fight card showcasing the Heavyweight and Women’s Flyweight divisions. Eight fighters secured berths in the upcoming 2024 PFL Playoffs with standout performances.

In a highly anticipated co-main event, Dakota Ditcheva dominated Chelsea Hackett in a Women’s Flyweight clash, securing a first-round TKO victory. Ditcheva, maintaining her undefeated record at 12-0, claimed her tenth career knockout and secured the top Playoff seed in her division.

Valentin Moldavsky faced Linton Vassell in a trilogy matchup, with Vassell emerging victorious via split decision after a grueling three-round battle. Moldavsky, despite the loss, advances to the 2024 PFL Global Season Playoffs.

Denis Golstov made quick work of Thiago Santos in Heavyweight action, securing a first-round TKO victory to earn his fifth career PFL postseason appearance.

Former Bellator Women’s Flyweight Champion Liz Carmouche faced Kana Watanabe in a rematch that ended dramatically with Carmouche securing an armbar submission with just eight seconds remaining in the final round. This victory clinched Carmouche a spot in the 2024 PFL Global Season Playoffs.

“The 2024 PFL Global Season resumed tonight with intense action as fighters battled for Playoff spots and continued their journey towards the million-dollar prize,” said PFL CEO Peter Murray. “The PFL stands alone in clarity for athletes and fans alike, delivering unparalleled action and engagement.”

PFL President of Fighter Operations, Ray Sefo, added, “Tonight in Connecticut, our world-class athletes showcased their skills and determination, securing their places in the PFL Playoffs. We eagerly anticipate next week’s event in Salt Lake City, where the stakes will be even higher.”

In Women’s Flyweight action, Taila Santos defeated Jena Bishop via split decision, securing her first PFL Playoff spot. Oleg Popov extended his impressive winning streak to 16 with a unanimous decision win over Davion Franklin in Heavyweight action, also securing a Playoff berth in his debut PFL season.

Other notable victories included Tyrell Fortune’s unanimous decision win over Marcelo Golm in Heavyweight action, Ilara Joanne’s unanimous decision victory against Shanna Young in Women’s Flyweight competition, and Tim Johnson’s first-round TKO win over Danilo Marques in Heavyweight action.

Juliana Velasquez secured a second-round TKO victory over Lisa Mauldin in a Women’s Flyweight bout, while Sumiko Inaba kicked off the night with a split decision win over Saray Orozco in a Women’s Flyweight Showcase bout.

The 2024 PFL Global Season continues next Friday, June 21, from Salt Lake City, Utah, featuring Light Heavyweight and Lightweight action broadcasted on ESPN platforms in the U.S. and DAZN internationally, spanning over 150 countries.
