PFL releases full fight card for debut event in South Dakota

The Professional Fighters League (PFL) has announced that the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, will serve as the host venue for the 2024 PFL Global Season on Friday, June 28, featuring thrilling matchups in the Welterweight and Featherweight divisions.

Headlining the event is a highly anticipated clash between 2022 PFL Featherweight Champion and pride of Manchester, Brendan Loughnane, and Justin Gonzales. Loughnane, currently leading the PFL Featherweight standings, aims to secure his spot in the 2024 PFL Playoffs, where another shot at the world title and a $1 million prize await.

In the co-main event, South Dakota's own and Bellator veteran Logan Storley will face off against Laureano Staropoli. Storley, hailing from Roslyn and fighting out of Webster, boasts an impressive professional record of 15 wins against only three losses and is eyeing a successful playoff debut in his inaugural season with the League.

PFL CEO Peter Murray expressed excitement about bringing the pinnacle of MMA competition to South Dakota for the first time. Murray stated, “The toughest test in MMA, the PFL Global Season, is coming to South Dakota for the first time ever. We are delighted to bring the most exciting brand of mixed martial arts, the PFL Global Season, to South Dakota for our final PFL Regular Season event. On June 28, PFL Playoff berths hang in the balance while PFL athletes look to continue their $1 million journey.”

The action-packed evening will showcase the division points leaders, including Brendan Loughnane, Gabriel Braga, Don Madge, Magomed Umalatov, and Murad Ramazanov, as they vie for playoff spots in the 2024 PFL Global Season. Fans can anticipate an electrifying display of skill and determination from these world-class fighters at the Sanford Pentagon on June 28.
