BRAVE Combat Federation is poised to showcase the next generation of Pakistani MMA fighters and highlight a significant chapter in the historic India vs. Pakistan sports rivalry at BRAVE CF 85.
The event, scheduled for August 18 in Lahore, will feature two high-stakes matchups between top fighters from both nations. Pakistan's Rizwan Ali and Zia Mashwani will square off against India’s Srikant Sekhar and Bharat Khandare, respectively. The Pakistani fighters aim to avenge a recent loss in BRAVE CF.
The last India vs. Pakistan bout took place at BRAVE CF 47, where Pakistan’s Uloomi Karim was defeated by India’s Mohammed Farhad. Farhad’s knockout win gained widespread attention on social media.
Uloomi Karim, a pioneering MMA fighter from Pakistan, had previously fought in BRAVE CF, including a win over India’s Yadwinder Singh. However, his knockout loss to Farhad remains a significant moment in the rivalry.
Now, Rizwan Ali and Zia Mashwani will look to reverse that outcome. Ali, who recently won a Karate bout against an Indian opponent, faces Srikant Sekhar in the co-main event. Mashwani, a BRAVE CF veteran returning from a regional victory, will take on Bharat Khandare, who is making a comeback after a seven-year hiatus.
In addition to the India vs. Pakistan matchups, the card features other notable bouts. Aqib Awan will compete against Marwin Quirante, and Ismail Khan will face Bagylan Zakhansha in key Flyweight fights. Abbas Khan, who previously fought at BRAVE CF 17, the federation’s inaugural event in Pakistan, returns to face Adham Mohamed.
BRAVE CF 85 is set to be a landmark event for the federation, celebrating both emerging talent and a historic rivalry in South Asian MMA.
