Paige VanZant is set to make her debut in Dana White’s Power Slap promotion. On June 28, she will compete against Christine Wolmarans at the Fontainebleau Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This announcement was made during the UFC event in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

VanZant addressed her new venture on her podcast with her husband, Austin Vanderford, saying, "I’m doing Power Slap. I’ve been in the UFC, bare-knuckle boxing, and regular boxing. Now I’m trying Power Slap. I want to try everything and push boundaries."

VanZant had hinted at big news recently, which turned out to be her participation in Power Slap. She will be the first UFC veteran to compete in this slap-fighting league, which was founded by Dana White and launched in early 2023.

Since her last MMA fight in 2020, VanZant has been active in other combat sports. After leaving the UFC, she signed a multi-fight deal with BKFC, though she lost her two matches against Britain Hart and Rachael Ostovich. VanZant plans to return to BKFC for at least one more fight.

Now, VanZant is preparing for her slap fight debut at Power Slap 8, part of International Fight Week in Las Vegas, leading up to UFC 303 on June 29 at T-Mobile Arena.
