ONE Fight Night 20: Phetjeeja to fight Janet Todd, Allycia Rodrigues returns

In a much-anticipated event set to light up the historic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, ONE Championship's bright lights will shine once again on Friday, March 8. This spectacle, airing in North American primetime on Prime Video, promises an electrifying showcase of talent, perfectly timed on International Women’s Day 2024.

Dubbed ONE Fight Night 20, the evening will be headlined by two thrilling Women’s World Title bouts, ensuring a spectacle of fast-paced striking for fight fans worldwide.

The main event is set to feature a showdown between two formidable fighters, Janet Todd and Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom. Todd, the reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion, will go toe-to-toe with interim titleholder Lukjaoporongtom, also known as “The Queen,” in a highly anticipated unification bout.

At 38 years old, Todd is a seasoned veteran with an impressive record of nine fights in the global martial arts arena. Known for her exceptional striking abilities, she aims to defend her divisional gold after a successful stint in Muay Thai.

Opposing Todd is the rising star, Phetjeeja, a 22-year-old Muay Thai sensation who has seamlessly transitioned her skills to kickboxing. With five consecutive victories in 2023, including a remarkable win over Anissa Meksen for the interim title, Phetjeeja is poised to challenge Todd for the undisputed divisional crown.

In the co-main event, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, the reigning ONE Women’s Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion, will put her title on the line against Spanish sensation Cristina Morales. Rodrigues, who claimed the belt in 2020, returns to defend her gold after a brief hiatus following the birth of her child.

Her opponent, Morales, is a former ISKA K-1 World Champion, celebrated for her aggressive striking style. Fresh off a stunning victory over Anna “Supergirl” Jaroonsak, Morales steps up to face Rodrigues, offering a test of her high-volume offense against Rodrigues’ formidable clinch game and strategic prowess.
