Stamp Fairtex gives shocking prediction for Nong O vs. Jonathan Haggerty

This Friday, April 21, sports fans around the world will get to see one of the year's most interesting World Title matches.

Nong-O Hama, a former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion, faces Jonathan Haggerty, a former flyweight Muay Thai champion, in the main event of ONE Fight Night 9 that evening at prime time in the United States.

When Nong-O came out of retirement in April 2018, he was unbeatable. The bantamweight Muay Thai king, a 36-year-old Thai legend, has won 10 straight fights, defended his world title seven times in a row, and knocked out his last five opponents.

Despite having a less remarkable resume, Haggerty, the 26-year-old has made an impression on the world scene. In his promotional debut in 2019, the British superstar defeated Joseph Lasiri, who would go on to become the ONE Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion. Four months later, he ousted Sam-A Gaiyanghadao to win the flyweight title.

A three-bout winning streak has helped "The General" maintain his momentum, and he is certain that he can break Nong-O's unbroken rule at the top.

Several of the top names in the ONE Championship give their predictions for the main event before these two hitting powerhouses square off in Bangkok, Thailand's Lumpinee Boxing Stadium.

One among the names was Stamp Fairtex who picked Nong O to get the win over Haggerty.

“I think Nong-O is the one. He’s great. He’s a heavy hitter and an all-around fighter. As for Haggerty, I think he is still young, still fresh, and has elbows and thrust kicks as his dangerous weapons. But I believe Nong-O will win this fight, for sure,” Stamp said in the interview with ONE Championship.
