BRAVE CF Bantamweight world champion Nkosi Ndebele has announced his ambitions to become a two-division champion in the globally renowned MMA organization, BRAVE Combat Federation.

On May 11, the South African star successfully defended his Bantamweight World title against Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres in a historic main event at BRAVE CF 82 in Mauritius. Ndebele secured a unanimous decision victory after five intense rounds. In his post-fight interview, he expressed his desire to move up a weight class and challenge for the Featherweight World title, currently held by Nemat Abdrashitov.

“Nemat Abdrashitov, I need a challenge. I need to challenge myself to keep the greatness in me flowing. I know there are a lot of challenges in the Bantamweight division, but they do not really stress me at all,” Ndebele stated after his fight at BRAVE CF 82.

Nemat Abdrashitov won the BRAVE CF Featherweight title at BRAVE CF 72, where he dominated Roman Bogatov. The undefeated Kyrgyz fighter has yet to defend his title.

Ndebele is not new to the Featherweight division. In his amateur career, he became the Featherweight champion at the 2017 IMMAF African Championship and made his professional MMA debut at Featherweight by defeating the experienced Ahmed Faress at BRAVE CF 19.

BRAVE CF 82 was a landmark event for African MMA, breaking multiple records. It set a new attendance record for combat sports events in Mauritius and solidified BRAVE Combat Federation’s status as the most-hosted MMA organization worldwide, with Mauritius becoming the 31st nation to host a BRAVE CF event.
