Nate Diaz reveals why he slapped Khabib Nurmagomedov

The Bad blood between Nate Diaz and Khabib Nurmagomedov is no joke. The UFC star recently talked about the incident in the Full Send Podcast where he detailed the story.

In January 2021, Diaz openly labelled the undefeated 29-0 fighter as a 'coward,' highlighting his unyielding nature that traces back to his upbringing in the streets of Stockton, California during his childhood.

An initial encounter unfolded in 2015 during the World Series of Fighting (now recognized as the Professional Fighters League). This particular event coincided with the night of a fight featuring Khabib's brother, alongside the presence of Jake Shields, a close associate of the Diaz siblings.

Here is what Nate Diaz had to say.

“Could be the whole team right there and I smacked up all them [ __ ] yeah, what happened with that one I slept; could be in his face because they were trying to take a picture of me like taking a joke and I see all these flashes right here and then I hear them all laughing, turn around with all these Ewok looking [ __ ] 20 of them, and now I'll turn around laughing and I'm like oh are they taking a picture because I'm standing by them, Performance Champion or Internet, and he was trying to find me but no one knew who the hell it was, he's some new guy yeah so he was trying to [ __ ] make fun of me and get a fight with me and I was like [ __ ] you [ __ ] and he turned around like come on man like to shake my hand and I slapped in the face, I was like [ __ ] you bye on when I smacked him him and his whole team they all were like oh yeah they never been in a fight."

As for Khabib, Having maintained an impeccable record, the Russian fighter, who called it quits following his victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in 2020, has shifted his attention towards coaching fighters rather than actively participating in the competition.
