The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has officially unveiled the sports programme and dates for the 3rd Asian Youth Games (AYG), set to be hosted by Bahrain from October 22 to 31, 2025. In a landmark decision, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) has been included as one of the 21 sports, highlighting the sport’s growing recognition across the continent.
This announcement was made via a circular from OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam to the 45 National Olympic Committees (NOCs). The selection of sports and the event dates were finalized in close coordination with the Bahrain Olympic Committee, reflecting the nation’s commitment to organizing a world-class event.
