Kickboxing Legend Youssef Boughanem Signs Exclusive MMA Deal with BRAVE Combat Federation

Combat sports enthusiasts in the Netherlands and around the globe are set for an exhilarating spectacle as kickboxing and Muay Thai legend Youssef Boughanem has signed an exclusive MMA deal with BRAVE Combat Federation. Boughanem will make his return to MMA at BRAVE CF 83 on May 25, facing Anando Amoksi on the main card of the event, which is co-hosted with Enfusion's ECE MMA in Alkmaar.

Youssef Boughanem, one of the world's premier strikers, boasts an impressive record of over 200 fights in kickboxing and Muay Thai, with more than 150 victories—nearly 90 percent by knockout. Beginning his combat sports journey at the age of 12, Boughanem rose to prominence in Thailand's Muay Thai and kickboxing circuits, accumulating numerous victories and titles.

Boughanem's accolades include the MAX Muay Thai Championship title in 2014 and the Middleweight title at Omnoi Stadium in 2015. He further secured the WAKO World title in kickboxing and the Middleweight title at Thailand's prestigious Rajadamnern stadium that same year. From 2018 to 2022, Boughanem's career reached new heights as he captured the title at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in 2018 and added to his collection the WKN World title in Muay Thai, WBC Muay Thai title, WBC Muay Thai Diamond Title, and WMC Golden King Title.

In 2024, Boughanem transitioned seamlessly into MMA, making his debut in France with a first-round TKO victory. Building on the success of his MMA debut, Boughanem is now poised to make a significant impact on the global MMA stage with his BRAVE CF debut in the Netherlands.

The Netherlands, renowned for its kickboxing heritage, provides an ideal venue for Boughanem's BRAVE CF debut. Dutch fans, known for their appreciation of striking prowess, are expected to give Boughanem a warm reception when he steps into the cage at BRAVE CF 83.

It also marks BRAVE Combat Federation’s debut event in the country, bringing the total number of host nations to 32—a record unmatched by any other MMA organization. Additionally, the Netherlands will become the 14th European nation to host BRAVE CF, setting a new record for the continent.
