Former UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley noted that Khabib Nurmagomedov is not on his top 10 fighters list. Woodley revealed the same during his recent interview with Jake Paul.

Woodley, who fought twice against Jake Paul, noted that Jon Jones and Anderson Silva are two all-time greats in the sport of MMA.

“I think Jon Jones is the best fighter we’ve seen. I think Anderson Silva is a GOAT because he did it in a really respectful way,” Woodley noted.

Woodley listed down the likes of Demetrious Johnson, Georges St. Pierre and Carlos Condit in his list. When he was asked about whether he would include Khabib Nurmagomedov in his list, Woodley noted that the Russian MMA star will not feature in his top 10 list.

“On my top 10 list, probably not. But I f**k with Khabib, I respect him a lot. I think he’s a good fighter,” Woodley noted.

He detailed the reason why he did not put Khabib in the list and said that Khabib was not tested with wrestlers who had good hands.

“ I don’t see the wrestlers with good hands fight him. So I can’t really jump on a train for him as a pound for pound. I like guys for what they stand for, how they fight, how consistent they are, and what they did for the sport,” Woodley noted.

Earlier, a string of former UFC fighters had expressed their opinions about Khabib Nurmagomedov and stated that the Russian cannot be considered as the GOAT due to many factors.

Khabib retired with an undefeated record of 29-0 to his name and was the reigning UFC Lightweight champion when he stopped competing. Since then, he has been busy as a promoter and as a coach.
