UFC Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman is all set to make his entry into Hollywood through Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. It was reported that the Nigerian-American UFC Champion will be making an appearance in the film which is expected to release on November 11, 2022.
Leon Edwards, who is set to fight Kamaru Usman at UFC 278, recently compared Usman to actor Terry Crews and now, The Nigerian Nightmare has made his intentions clear.
During the UFC 278 Media Interaction, Usman noted that he is planning to become bigger than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson in Hollywood.
"I put the work in and I got that, but that doesn't stop me. I want to be bigger than Dwayne Johnson. Bigger than him, so that means I need more work. So, this notion of when people say 'oh, you're Hollywood now, it's going to his head', I think it's ridiculous to me, and if he's thinking that, it's the biggest misconception, it'll be a short night for him come Saturday night,” he said (h/t SportsKeeda).
Dwayne Johnson has been a mainstay in Hollywood for a long time now. Prior to his entry into the world of acting, he was one of the biggest names in professional wrestling and made a huge mark in the WWE.
Known as the Rock, Johnson made his acting debut in The Mummy Returns in 2001 and a year later, he played the leading character in The Scorpion King. He then went on to feature in a string of films. The Game Plan, Race to Witch Mountain, Tooth Fairy, Jungle Cruise, Journey 2, GI Joe: Retaliation, Hercules and San Andreas are some of the movies that Johnson has featured in.
The 50-year-old is one of the highest paid and highest grossing actors in the industry at the moment.
