Kamaru Usman has been dominating the UFC Welterweight division for a long time now. The UFC Welterweight champion has been unstoppable and recently teased the possibility of changing weight classes.

While Light Heavyweight or Middleweight seems like a possible move for Usman, his manager, Ali Abdelaziz’s later tweet suggests that Usman could move all the way up to Heavyweight.

“@USMAN84kg the best 170 lb 185 lb and he can be Champion right now at least heavyweight,” Ali noted on his Twitter page last day.

Whether or not it was a mistake from Ali’s side is a different debate altogether. The Heavyweight division is currently reigned by Francis Ngannou who has been in great terms with Usman. Ngannou has been out of action for a long time due to injury but is expected to make his return sooner or later.

As for Usman, he is set to fight Leon Edwards next. The fight is scheduled to happen at UFC 278 and will be the second time that these two will be fighting as they fought back in 2015 as well.

The Nigerian Nightmare is currently 20-1 in his professional MMA career and has not suffered a loss since 2013. Leon Edwards, meanwhile, has a record of 19-3 to his name and has been on an impressive run himself. He has not lost any fights since his loss to Kamaru Usman back in 2015 which makes matters more interesting.

What do you think of the tweet from Ali Abdelaziz? Do you think Usman can go up to Heavyweight and fight? Let us know in the comments below.
