Jake Paul is a betting favourite against Nate Diaz ahead of their boxing showdown in August.
For the boxing battle between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz on August 5 in Dallas, the opening betting odds have been made public.
Paul is a -275 favourite to beat Diaz, who is a big underdog at +215, according to betonline.ag. Accordingly, a $100 wager on Paul would pay out $36.36 whereas a $100 on Diaz would pay out $215.
Paul's implied winning % based on the odds is 73 per cent, compared to Diaz's implied winning rate of 32 per cent.
In 185 pounds, Paul and Diaz square off in an eight-round fight in the Dallas American Airlines Centre. The bout will be broadcast on DAZN for a fee.
Paul suffered his first professional boxing defeat against opponent Tommy Fury in a split decision two months ago. According to reports, he first demanded an instant rematch made possible by his contract with Fury.
At a boxing battle between Paul and former UFC champion Anderson Silva in October of last year, Diaz and his squad got into a fight with Paul's security staff. Paul then challenged Diaz to a battle, but following the YouTuber's defeat by Fury, Diaz seemed to lose interest.

After facing Paul in the ring, Diaz stated in a news release announcing Paul vs. Diaz that he would like to return to the UFC.
